このたび、海外に向けて日本の文化やデザインを発信するNHK WORLD-JAPANの「Design × Stories」という番組に取材いただきました。
以前、一畳十間にて設計をいたしました、「円窓のある家」や「斜光の家」を取り上げていただき、私たちの一畳十間の取り組みがはじまったきっかけや、設計の過程で大切にしていることなどをお話させていただきました。
MCのアンディーさんとともに、「円窓のある家」を訪れ、一緒に空間を体感いただきながら設計一つひとつのこだわりや、日本の手仕事についてご紹介させていただきました。

実際にお施主さまが住まわれている様子も撮影いただき、日々の生活の中で彩られた空間の豊かさがきっと伝わる内容になっているのではないかと思います。

We are pleased to share that we were recently featured in Design × Stories, a program on NHK WORLD-JAPAN that introduces Japanese culture and design to audiences around the world.
The program features two homes we previously designed for Ichijo Toma, House with a Round Window and House of Slanting Light. We also had the opportunity to talk about what inspired us to begin Ichijo Toma and the values and ideas that are important to us throughout the design process.
Together with the program’s host, Andy, we visited House with a Round Window, experiencing the space together while sharing the ideas and attention to detail behind the design, as well as the traditional craftsmanship incorporated throughout the home.

The program also captures the home as it is actually lived in by its owners. We hope it offers a glimpse into the richness of a space that has gradually been shaped and enriched through everyday life.
The program will begin airing internationally from Friday, August 21.
