The dining area represents the heart of daily life — not merely a place for meals, but a foundation that embraces the small, ordinary moments that shape our days.
Beyond serving as a table, it was created with the intention of enriching the entire dining space itself.
From this concept, the name ichijo-toma Dining was born.

Supported by four legs, the round type achieves a sense of lightness while the solid wood top, shaped close to an oval, brings a balanced sense of weight and presence.
It can be placed freely without concern for orientation and comfortably accommodates additional guests when needed.

The tabletop features a two-tier shelf structure designed to store and display ceramics or small objects.
By filling this space with personal items, the dining area becomes a place of daily creativity — a setting where each family’s individuality gives rise to a richer way of living.

Collaboration with Tendo Mokko

In collaboration with Tendo Mokko, a long-established Japanese furniture manufacturer renowned for its advanced craftsmanship, we succeeded in maintaining structural strength while incorporating a two-tier tabletop storage design and securing comfortable legroom.
A custom knock-down metal fitting was developed, allowing the table to be disassembled easily — a practical feature during installation.
The natural beauty of domestically sourced oak, with its elegant grain patterns and the refined detail of solid wood edges, is another defining characteristic of this piece.

Founded in 1940 in Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture, Tendo Mokko began as a cooperative of local carpenters and craftsmen specializing in furniture, fittings, and joinery.
For over 70 years, the company has supplied finely crafted furniture to the Imperial Household, numerous corporations, luxury hotels, government institutions, and public facilities.
Its enduring legacy of quality continues to this day, and many timeless masterpieces have emerged from collaborations with prominent architects and designers both in Japan and abroad.
